Welcoming
Ogilvy’s Kappie Kop to UNC
Oct. 1, 5pm Carroll 111
With nearly 20 years of experience anchored in creative agency leadership and brand-building, Kappie specializes in the fusion of rigorous communications strategy and cultural storytelling. Her core focus is on the vital role communication plays in shaping a company’s strategic decisions and how those decisions shape people’s relationships with brands—ultimately building the infrastructure of trust that enables companies to move with clarity and impact.
She was promoted to her current role after serving as Senior Vice President, Creative Communications at Ogilvy, where she built a first-of-its-kind storytelling infrastructure to elevate the agency's creative reputation and led day-to-day communications for North America, one of Ogilvy's largest markets.
Prior to Ogilvy, Kappie held practice leadership roles at MSL and LEWIS, working across healthcare, B2B tech, energy management, and consumer industries, and led PR and communications for multiple Publicis agencies, including Leo Burnett and Arc Worldwide. Before entering the agency world, she spent a decade at SCAD: The University for Creative Careers, driving communications and special initiatives through a period of major institutional growth—operationally, programmatically and economically.
Outside of work, Kappie cherishes time with her family. An avid runner and reader, she also enjoys puzzles, cooking, and working in the garden.
